Five Yellows players have been called up by their countries
After the end of the season, five Villarreal players have been called up to represent their country: Baena, Mosquera, Ilias, Mandi, and Jorgensen.
Álex Baena has once again been called up by the Spanish national team and is part of the squad for the European Championship. Prior to that, La Roja will play two friendlies against Andorra and Northern Ireland.
Yerson Mosquera will also participate with the Colombia national team in two friendly matches before the Copa America which will take place this summer.
Ilias Akhomach with Morocco and Aïssa Mandi with Algeria will play two official matches in the CAF Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Filip Jorgensen has also been called up to the Denmark U21 squad for a friendly against Norway.
