Akhomach has acknowledged that he is enjoying a good run of form with Villarreal
Villarreal CF player, Ilias Akhomach, has appeared before the media in the press room of the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground to talk about his current situation in the team and Sunday’s game against Granada (2pm CET, Estadio de la Cerámica).

His signing for Villarreal
“When I left Barcelona and signed for Villarreal it was always clear to me that I wanted to succeed here. I’m always going to try to give my best. The attitude and giving 100% is something that characterises me because in my mind it is something that is non-negotiable.”
How he sees the team
“These last few games we have improved in many aspects. There’s still a lot to improve, but we’re on the right track and I’m sure we’ll finish the season on top.”
Winning at home, an unfinished business in 2024
“I think we deserved to take more points in the last few home games. At the end of the day this is LALIGA and more and more is demanded. This Sunday we will have to put in a great performance against Granada to get the three points.”
Why did you choose Villarreal?
“When I was at home and we saw all the offers on the table, I didn’t think about it. I followed Villarreal a lot last year, they had an incredible end to the season and I didn’t think about it.”
