Vicente Iborra spoke to Villarreal TV after the draw with Elche (0-0) at the Estadio de la Cerámica: “We went for the win from the start. It was hard against a team that were solid at the back. We didn’t have the cutting edge we’ve shown on other days, and that was what penalised us.”
For Villarreal’s No.10, the team needed to be more precise in the final third: “We put in a performance to score at least a goal. It’s true that we didn’t have many chances, but if we had taken one of them, the match would have been completely different. Now we need to learn from this in case more teams set up like this here, so we’re able to find solutions otherwise.”
