The Villarreal midfielder underlines the need to be confident once more and return to feeling good to look up the table
Villarreal midfielder Vicente Iborra appeared in front of the press to analyse the Submarine’s current situation. The Valencian footballer underlined the need to pick themselves up, after the defeat in Mallorca: “We must be more convincing and more ambitious. It’s important that we’re demanding of ourselves to be high up the table, which is what we want. With how we’ve working, results will come.”
With the international break ahead, Iborra hopes to use the time to continue working and go into the league tie with Celta Vigo in the best way possible: “It’s a different week. It helps us to try and improve how we’re playing and go into the game against Celta confident.”
The Yellows No.10 highlighted the importance of the upcoming games to define the season’s objectives and to try and be towards the top of the table: “We’ve got very important matches coming up. It’s crucial that we regain our confidence and good feelings.”
Finally, the midfielder emphasised the need to take a step forward away from La Cerámica. “We’ve not won for a while. We deserved to win the game against Athletic, but we lacked that crucial killer instinct in front of goal. At Son Moix, the match got really tough for us with the two penalties… To be high up the table, we need to be strong at home and improve when we’re away.”
