Jorge Cuenca has underlined the team’s good start in LaLiga and the Conference League
Villarreal CF player Jorge Cuenca appeared in front of the media in the press room at the Villarreal CF Training Ground. During the international break, the Yellows centre-back spoke about the team’s good start to the LaLiga season, his role and the learning process.
His role
“I’m happy, I’m feeling better and better and I’m adapting well to the team. I feel that they trust me and that’s important. The two loan spells have been good for me because I’ve come back better. Now I have to wait for the opportunity and be ready when it comes.”
Continuity thanks to the UEFA Europa Conference League
“Whether I get more or less minutes will be seen as the season goes on and as the competitions go on, but I’m always ready. The Conference League is a competition that is giving me the continuity I want to have. We all want to play all the time and that’s why I have to keep working because the season is very long and a lot of things can happen.”
Experience while on loan
“I started playing in the second division with Alcorcón, which was already like a master’s degree for me as I shared a dressing room with veteran teammates. In addition, the loan spells, plus the years in Barcelona, have helped me to continue training and here I hope to continue learning as much as possible.”
Learning from Pau and Albiol
“It’s a healthy rivalry. They have been here for many years and I have to learn as much as possible from them and from the dressing room, which is wonderful.”
