Villarreal qualifies for the King’s Cup semifinals for the first time (0-1)
Villarreal wrote another page in its history with golden letters. The Submarine managed to qualify for the first time to the semifinals of the “Copa del Rey” after beating Getafe (0-1) in the second leg match at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. It was a well deserved triumph, after suffering on the pitch, and was possible thanks to a solitary goal from Gerard Moreno with 15 minutes to Full Time. This result, added to the 1-0 at El Madrigal, allows Villarreal to access a semifinal and face FC Barcelona.
