Sergio Asenjo and Nazaret Segura visited the Colegio Liceo in Benicàssim thanks to the Endavant Club Groguet initiative
Villarreal players Sergio Asenjo and Nazaret Segura went back to school for the day. The men’s first team goalkeeper and the women’s first team forward visited the Colegio Liceo in Benicàssim this afternoon, thanks to the ‘A Star In Your School’ initiative, part of Endavant Club Groguet. In the school, the footballers had fun and shared anecdotes from both on and off the pitch.
Students from the school in Benicàssim were able to get to know their idols. Asenjo and Segura took part in an extensive, fun press conference with the youngsters, who got to use the microphone and be journalists for a day. As if that wasn’t enough, the pupils got autographs from the players too, with the pair also posing for a group photo. An unforgettable afternoon.
The ‘A Star In Your School’ initiative, part of Endavant Club Groguet, has been running for a number of years. This season, Carlos Bacca and María Sanjuán went to Avel·lí Corma in Moncofa; Manu Trigueros and Naiara Ves visited CEIP José Soriano in Vila-real and today it was Asenjo and Segura’s turn, at the Colegio Liceo in Benicàssim.
From here on, footballers from both the men’s and women’s first teams will go to different schools to get to know the youngsters. As well as the visits from the players, the schools, in the province of Castellón, can enjoy a free training session by Yellows Academy coaches and a guided tour of the Estadio de la Cerámica.
