Carlos Bacca highlights the excellent work by the team in the win against Sevilla FC
Villarreal striker Carlos Bacca appeared in front of the Villarreal TV microphones to analyse the impressive victory by the Yellows against Sevilla FC: “We are really happy for the win against a great opponent like the one we faced today. We deserved this win because we’re working hard. We played a great game, we were efficient up front and we knew when to suffer when our opponents were at their best. We did everything to get the three points.”
The Colombian forward, who made a brilliant backheel assist for the second goal for the Yellow Submarine, underlined that the team is growing in confidence, after two consecutive wins: “The victory in Lisbon raised morale a lot and gave us confidence in ourselves for this match. Against Sevilla, we showed how good we can be. The team is getting better every day and the fans gave us that little bit extra we needed. Hopefully we follow this path.”
Finally, the Villarreal No.9 wanted to thank the fans for the great ovation he got from the stands, after he was substituted after his sensational performance against his old club: “It made me immensely happy. We came into the game after difficult moments and for the fans to be with us and to reward our hard work, it’s a great present.”
