The Catalan forward will receive his Best Player of the 20/21 Europa League award in the build-up to the game against Atalanta BC
Gerard Moreno will share with Villarreal fans the trophy he won a few weeks ago, naming him UEFA Europa League 2020/21 Best Player, thanks to his impressive performances in the continental competition last season. It will be on Tuesday, 14th September, in the build-up to the Submarine’s opener in the UEFA Champinos League opener against Atalanta BC (9pm CEST) at the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The awarding of the trophy will be carried out by Michael Heselschwedt, UEFA head of club competitions, and Maxwell Scherrer, UEFA chief of football development, as Gerard was unable to attend the 2021/22 Europa Leageu group stage draw in person. After recognising the team’s great achievements in winning the UEFA Europa League in the build-up to the tie against Granada, the Yellos fans, will be able to give Gerard a deserved reception for his hard work and success up front for the Submarine.
