The Villarreal striker, with three goals, is the joint top scorer in LaLiga so far
A better start would be impossible. Gerard Moreno has started the league campaign bang in form. The Yellows forward, having scored three goals so far this season, is the joint top scorer in LaLiga with three matchdays gone.
The Yellows No.7 has registered the best goalscoring start of anyone at the club in the top flight, being the only Villarreal player to have found the back of the next in the first three league matches in Primera.
Against Real Madrid, Moreno was one of the standout players for the home side. As well as opening the scoring, he was involved in the build-up to the Yellows’ second goal. “I’m happy with the team. We have to continue, to work hard and to correct our mistakes. Against Madrid, it’s hard to kill off a match. They can hurt you at any moment. We need to play like we did against them and keep on working hard. We’re doing things well and the hard work is paying off. We feel like we’re in a good place,” he said after the match.
The Catalan striker has a great record against Los Blancos, scoring three in four games against them while representing Villarreal.
