The Submarine lost in its visit to Vallecas, Madrid, by 2-0 in a crash where the Yellows started with an unprecedented line-up due to the many injuries and the need of rotating a tired team. Villarreal couldn’t show its usual intensity, though trying very hard, and ended up returning home with no points. The locals took advantage of their chances and managed to keep the 3 points. With the loss, the Yellows end their record of consecutive games scoring, which is set at 28 games, an excellent record for Marcelino.
