The Villarreal goalkeeper underlined that, after the Yellows’ win in Gdansk, facing Manchester United against will be a great experience. “Facing them is something special for us. The last memory we have against Manchester United was in the UEFA Europa League final, which is one of the most important moments in Villarreal history.”
Rulli underlined that the game will not be like the clash in Poland four months ago: “It will be a completely different tie. The final is now in the past. Now we’re going into a Champions League game. We will go to Old Trafford with the ambition of taking home three points.”
Finally, the Argentine goalkeeper underlined that the Submarine can compete against a top-level opponent: “We’re showing that we’re capable of competing against any opposition. It’s a match with a lot of interest. It’s Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League return at Old Trafford after a number of years. They are going to face a Villarreal side that will try and impose their play. We need to be aggressive, show our personality and try and impose how we want to play.”
