Yeremy Pino, now recovered from injury, is awaiting the opportunity to make his comeback against Cádiz CF (Friday, 7.30pm CEST)

Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino appeared at a press conference on Wednesday to analyse the current situation of the yellow team and his return, after leaving behind the muscle injury that has kept him sidelined in recent months.

“I’m feeling good. I’m really looking forward to playing. I’m very excited and eager to help the team, who are playing well, even if they’re not getting the results we want. I think that, despite this, the dynamic is good and we’re going to go for more.” said the forward.

After an atypical pre-season on a personal level, Yeremy is waiting for his chance to play against Cádiz (Friday, 7:30pm CEST): “I hope to be able to help the team on Friday from the pitch. I finished the season winning with Spain, then I’ve been recovering for several months. Luckily, I’m now fit enough to play.”

With regard to the important clash on Andalusian soil, Yeremy highlights that it will be a tough game in which the Submarine will have to be very attentive: “It will be a difficult game. In their own half, they’ll be looking to play their game, sending balls into space, looking for their strikers to get the ball and from there they’ll have their chance. We’re going to have to be very alert in second balls and in the details to fight for an important victory that would allow us to go into the international break happy.”

Finally, the youngster said that, despite his youth, he feels more and more important at Villarreal: “It will be my fourth season and I already see myself with responsibility in the team. The teammates and the team give me confidence and weight. I want to be better every day and to be able to help my team as much as possible.”
