Villarreal U19s (Juvenil A) centre-back Antonio Espigares has been called up by Spain U18s for a series of training sessions that will take place in Las Rozas de Madrid between 24th and 26th January. After both Rodri Alonso and Jorge Pascual being called up by Spain U19s a few weeks ago, it is now the centre-back’s turn after he has consolidated a place as a starter and a crucial part of Igor Tasevski’s plans. Espigares has already represented Spain at international level in matches against Turkey U18s and Romania U18s.
Once more, the good work and great methodology of the Yellows Academy shows that the youth set-up at Villarreal is an unstoppable source of international talent.
