The Villarreal Manager was very satisfied with the victory over Real Betis
Villarreal Manager, Fran Escribá, was really satisifed after his side’s brilliant victory over Real Betis at El Madrigal stadium. “I’m satisfied. The team have been relaxed about the last two results. The group is very mature and knows that losses are a part of it. We know that we’re ok and that a win can put us back up there again, which is where we want to be”, he explained.
When analyzing the match, Fran Escribá highlighted that Trigueros’ goal meant the team could relax. “After Trigueros’ goal we were able to control the match more and attack more quickly. Even more than the result though, and the fact that we played very well, I think the team played very intensely”.
After another clean sheet today, Villarreal are currently the team to concede the least goals in the First Division (7) and have one of the best defences in Europe. “They always say that teams that defend well can achieve big things. For us this is a priority”, the Manager pointed out.
