The Villarreal boss praises his players’ attitude in the win against Valencia
Villarreal CF manager, Unai Emery, was very satisfied with his side’s work rate in the victory over Valencia (2-1). For the boss, his team knew how to play their cards: “We are getting better, picking up points and showing maturity. We know how to play in tough moments. Our opponents also showed their quality and I’m satisfied. We’re affirming our style of play. In the first half an hour we were brilliant. Then I think we took a step towards defending our area”.
Emery stressed that his side continues to grow mentally: “There are certain mental aspects that I want to keep sharing with the players. Above all when the game gets complicated. This victory has to strengthen us even more. I assess it positively. The team is responding really well, with maturity. I’m happy with the team’s mental response.”
In terms of injuries, the Yellows boss underlined the confidence he has in all of his players: “I have complete confidence in all of my players. On Thursday we have another competition to play in and we’re excited for it and we need everyone. I’m very happy with the players that are coming into the team.”
