The Yellows head coach emphasised the whole team’s good performance and was frustrated at not killing off the game
Villarreal head coach Unai Emery appeared in front of the media after the draw at Balaídos (1-1) against Celta. Here is what the Basque manager had to say:
“I have to congratulate the team for the work that the players have put in, and above all, those who hadn’t been playing as much. It was an extra piece of motivation for them to try and get the win. The team was great. We know that we weren’t clinical enough, and we have to live with that. At 0-1, anything can change the outcome of the game. The match should have been killed off, it should have been 0-2. I’ll go away happy with the great performance and the performances of certain players, such as Iborra and Rubén Peña. We have to think about the next match, and find another level.”
