The Villarreal manager underlined that the team conceded too much in the first half
Villarreal head coach Unai Emery spoke to the media after the 4-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou. He was frustrated with his side’s performance against and underlined that his team need to pick themselves up for the upcoming games: “We have to apologise to the fans for the image we gave in the first half. However, there is no time for regrets, we have another game on Wednesday and we need to pick ourselves up to face that as best as possible.”
He also underlined that Villarreal conceded too much in the first half: “We were too precipitated in wanting to get quickly to the opposition goal, leaving spaces in behind, which they knew how to make the most of.”
