The Basque manager spoke about the penalty which broke the deadlock early on: “As a head coach it hurts you that from an isolated incident like that, a penalty is given. VAR is here to help and there are still improvements to make. The penalty conditioned the game a lot.”
Finally Emery underlined the need to move on and focus on Saturday’s game against Levante UD: “You need to look forward. This defeat comes after a long unbeaten run. On Saturday, we have the chance to show how we can play well to get the three points.”
