The Basque manager has the best winning percentage in the club’s history in the elite (49.18%)
In little more than a season leading the Submarine, Unai Emery has become one of the best coaches to have sat on the Villarreal CF bench. The Basque manager made history by guiding the Yellows to their first UEFA Europa League title.
As well as this historic achievement, Emery is the coach with the highest win percentage for Villarreal in elite football. Under the Basque manager, the Submarine have won almost half of the games they have been involved in, 30 out of 61 (49.18%). Marcelino García Toral and Manuel Pellegrini follow him, with win percentages of 49.15% and 47.49% respectively.
The respected Basque head coach is also the manager who has the lowest losing percentage. Under him, Villarreal have only lost 18.03% of their games (11 out of 61). That is even lower than Pellegrini (24.71%) and Marcelino (25.99%).
