The Estadio de la Cerámica Fan Zone hosted the fifth edition of Groc Talent
The Estadio de la Cerámica Fan Zone hosted this Saturday, in the build-up to the tie against Getafe, the performance of El sombrero de color, the fifth group to take part in the Groc Talent competition. The Yellows enjoyed the group’s best songs before the important league tie.
Groc Talent is the product of the collaboration agreement between Villarreal CF and SanSan Festival, as part of Endavant Cultura. A total of nine groups will take part and the winner will be rewarded with the prize of performing at the festival in Benicàssim in 2020. Today, it was the turn of El sombrero de color, They’re a musical group combining a number of different musical styles to create a unique, upbeat and fun sound, which comes from passion, hard work and friendship. Their strength is playing live. El sombrero de color is made up of Juanan Corcuera, Víctor Pajares, Víctor Nebot and Álex Corcuera.
The style has seen them win various awards (first place at the ‘International Competition for Emerging Bands’ at the Arenal Sound festival, first place for the best live performance at the national Music Awards) as well as performances at the Arenal Sound festival, the Amstel ‘All Stars’ Castellón concert, the Amstel Festival in Morella and at the Save The Children Festival in Valencia, to name but a few. The Monday after each performance, from 12pm in Spain, the voting period will open until the following Monday at the same time. Fans can vote on the official website (Groc Talent), with a mark from 1 to 5 for the band (with 1 being the lowest mark possible and 5 the highest). Once all performances have taken place, the three groups with the most votes will reach the final. The votes will then be a summary of the public’s Villarreal CF’s and SanSan’s management.
The final, with a time and date still to be confirmed, will take place between 16th and 22nd March 2020. A professional jury will decide who wins, with the prize being a performance in the 7th SanSan Festival in Benicàssim.
