Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, warned that the team must play very well against Osasuna
At today’s press conference the Villarreal CF Manager, Fran Escribá, was wary of the danger of the Yellows’ next rivals, CA Osasuna (Wednesday, 7:30pm CET). “Osasuna are playing at their limit, both the team and their fans, they will pressure a lot. El Sadar is always a difficult ground to play at”.
Escribá also stated that, “In terms of points and their position in the table they are evidently not doing so well, but they are an agressive team, that pressure a lot and who have the support of their fans at home. It is not going to be easy at all”.
With regard to the goalkeeper situation Escribá said: “It was the greatest damage the match [against Madrid] left us with, of course losses always hurt, but what happened to Sergio, well… like I said I knew Sergio before his first injury, and now he’s a better person and a better player, so after another test of character, like he has now, I’m sure that he is going to continue in this development. I’m sure that tomorrow in a stadium he [Andrés Fernández] knows well, where they really respect him because he did so well there, I’m sure that he is going to respond and play at his best level. And then there is Mariano [Barbosa], so if something happens he will respond”.
