Villarreal is the new group leader after an impecable performance against Apollon FC, dedicated to the memory of Marcelino’s father
Villarreal dedicated the victory in the Europa League match against Cyprus team Apollon FC to head coach Marcelino García Toral, absent due to his father’s death. The final score was 4-0 with an outstanding performance of the Yellows, totally outplaying Limassol’s side. Two goals by Gerard Moreno and another two by Javier Espinosa contributed to the triumph and secured the 3 points for Villarreal.
