Villarreal CF has added the Carinyena Health Centre and the Centro de Tecnifiación Deportiva in Vila-real to the #CuentaConmigo (Count on Me) campaign. To thank them for their hard work in the fight against COVID-19, the club has extended its free catering services to the local health centre, as well as the sports facility, which has become a secondary facility to help combat the pandemic. The club already regularly provides meals for the La Plana hospital in Vila-real and the Miltary Emergencies Unit.
The #CuentaConmigo initiative, led by the club, the men’s first team and the Fundación Carlos Bacca, also provides meals for families with scarce recourses and those at risk of social exclusion by preparing 200 daily meals at the Estadio de la Cerámica. These meals are given to Cáritas Vila-real for distribution among those more disadvantaged who are affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
The club’s sponsor Coca-Cola has shown its support for the campaign, donating 200 cans of the soft drink to be provided to those most vulnerable and healthcare staff, who are fighting for our health in these tough times.
Villarreal CF profoundly laments the current situation and asks its fans to act responsibly to avoid the propagation of COVID-19. The club is offering its help to medical authorities as much as possible to help join the fight against the coronavirus and wants to offer a profound thanks to all of those in the battle against it, from medical staff, to armed forces, the police and the civil guard.
