The President of the APV collected the award on behalf of the best fans in LaLiga at half time vs Sporting
The LaLiga Santander, in collaboration with ‘Fans United’ (Aficiones Unidas), awarded Yellows fans as the best fans in the top flight of Spanish football for their behaviour, support and all the work they have done for tolerance, fair play and respect between fans from different teams.
The recognition took place during half time of the match against Real Sporting de Gijón. The President of ‘Fans United’ (AFEPE), José Manuel Mateos, along with Ander Mirambell, from LaLiga, and Rafael Díaz Iglesias, from the Santander bank, presented José Luis Alcón, from the Villarreal Fan Club Association (APV), with the number 12 shirt. What’s more, for the presentation, ex-player and current member of the Villarreal CF Institutional Relations Department, Marcos Senna, accompanied one of the club’s longest season-ticket holders, María Villarreal Goterris, and one of the youngest, Álex Anacleto Barba, who attended in representation of all Yellows fans.
