The Yellows attacker started and played the entirety of the match against Benin (0-1)

Villarreal CF attacker Samu Chukwueze took part in Nigeria’s win over Benin (0-1). He started the game, and played the entirety of the Super Eagles’ win, which was late on, thanks to Paul Onuachu’s 93rd-minute goal.

Yeremy Pino made his debut for Spain U21s last Wednesday in their 0-3 win over Slovenia. The teenager took part in the final 20 minutes of the game, replacing Javi Puado. He did not take part in the goalless draw against Italy last Saturday.

The other two Villarreal players who were with their national teams, Pervis Estupiñán and Gerard Moreno, have not played for their countries. The Ecuadorian picked up an injury while with ‘La Tricolor’ and has returned to the club, while the Yellows No.7 has not featured for Spain as he is continuing to recover from a thigh strain which he picked up just before the international break.
