The Malaga native has been chosen as the ‘Mahou Five Star Player’ after two assists vs Osasuna
Samu Castillejo was one of the stars of the show in the match against Osasuna with two assists to set up Pato and Sansone. The first, a great cross from the right wing, the second, an extraordinary through ball that the Italian-German finished off perfectly.
For this reason, Castillejo has been chosen as the ‘Mahou Five Star Player’ of the match. “The passing game is enjoyable for us, especially for the wingers, centre midfielders and second striker. This is the right track and we have to keep picking up wins”, he commented. “I feel really good, with a lot of confidence and eager to repay the fans the love they show me on a daily basis”, he affimed. This season the Yellows number 19 has already racked up three assists, putting him in second place for assists in LaLiga Santander, just behind FC Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto (4).
The Submarine’s attacking player also analyzed the team’s performance so far this season. “All the signings and new projects need time to adapt, for us to get to know each other, and that’s what’s happening”, he explained. “After we got knocked out (against AS Monaco) people said a lot of things, but that’s normal; we had a lot of injuries, with almost eleven players. We’ve got players back, we’ve replenished and now we’re doing really well”.
