The Villarreal manager underlined the importance of getting a victory against a ‘strong opponent’
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja appeared in front of the press to analyse the Yellows’ win over CA Osasuna (3-1). The head coach hailed the Submarine’s competitive nature: “We knew that it was going to be a very tough match. Osasuna are a very strong opponent, who haven’t lost many games. We lacked a bit of precision, but we made up for it with competitive spirit.”
The Yellows manager was pleased with the win against the side from Navarra: “Winning is very difficult. Every team has something about them and you have to be please with victories. It was an extremely important win. We’re on a good run and we’re excited about the season.”
Calleja also thanked the fans for their support during the match: “The connection with the stands is very important. The supporters are behind the teams, and like all the squad, they believe we can reach exciting aims.”
