The Villarreal head coach recognised that Barcelona were decisive and that his team didn’t have enough of the ball
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja was sporting after his side’s defeat to FC Barcelona at the Estadio de la Cerámica. “The start of the game really affected how it played out. Barça were very decisive. When you play against a team that are at that level, things like this can happen. We didn’t have enough of the ball and Barça were better,” he said.
For the Yellows head coach, this result shouldn’t dent their morale, taking into account that the next two games are against Getafe CF and Real Sociedad, two teams also fighting for Europe: “We need to move on and focus on the Getafe game as soon as possible. Now we’re up against two direct opponents.”
