The Villarreal manager analysed the defeat to RCD Mallorca
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja was frustrated that his team were unable to find the right way to get a win against RCD Mallorca at Son Moix (3-1). He believed that key moments in the game that went in favour of Mallorca were the difference. “I don’t think the first penalty was a penalty. Kubo won it. The two penalties were debatable and the referee decided they were penalties. We had to get on with it after those two decisions and we tried to get the comeback. We scored and we had chances, but we played without conviction.”
