Javi Calleja was frustrated after the Yellows’ defeat to a combative Osasuna side
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja appeared in front of the media to analyse the game against CA Osasuna. The Yellows boss felt it was an even tie, despite the Submarine not being at their best: “It was a hard-fought tie. In the first half, despite the goal, we found it hard to play our football. We had good enough chances to score a second. They pressed very well and we weren’t decisive enough with the ball. Small details meant the home side went away with the points.”
Furthermore, he admitted that conceding just after hard time was a blow: “In the second half they equalised very quickly. From that, we started to lose control. Despite that, we had a great chance with Samu, where we could have gone ahead. Their second goal also came from a mistake that we can’t be making.”
