
The Villarreal manager has praised the attitude and ambition shown by the Yellows during the second half
The Villarreal manager, Javi Calleja, has appeared in front of the media to analyse the draw in Pucela (1-1). The Yellows manager has praised the team’s ambition during a great second half: “We were not good in the first half, but we reacted in the second. We talked about it at half-time. We had to change the situation and return to the pitch being brave and dynamic. The change in attitude has been commendable and it helped us to get close to the win.”
Also, Calleja has valued the point achieved in Valladolid: “We value the draw. We have to win at home against Levante. The team has shown character and hunger for victory. We came to a very difficult ground, they went ahead and we were able to react. This team never gives up.”
Finally, the Yellows manager pointed out that the squad is ambitious and wants to fight to move up the table: “This team is fighting to move up the table. We want to be amongst the best in the league and we will fight until the end.”
