The Yellows manager praised Villarreal’s performance in a tight game
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja appeared in front of the press to analyse the draw with Sevilla (2-2). He was pleased with the point against the side from Andalucía: “It’s a good draw. We went ahead twice and we could have won. We were facing one of the best sides in LaLiga, we managed to go ahead twice and we couldn’t quite kill the game off on the counter, but it isn’t easy against a team full of such quality and one that is so well-drilled.”
Calleja underlined that the team is in a great run, after ten points from the last four games: “The current run is important. We’re still unbeaten and we’re in the top half of the table, fighting for Europe.”
He also wanted to highlight the greta news of Bruno Soriano’s return three years later: “That’s best of all. Having him back and helping the team is very important for us. He’s an example of fighting back, we’re all very happy for his return and we hope to be able to count on him for the rest of the games.”
