The Submarine’s captain believes Villarreal stood up against Real Madrid but the lack of precision was a burden

Villarreal’s midfielder and captain, Bruno Soriano, has highlighted the enormous team work and sacrifice against Real Madrid. He believes that the lack of precision just finished condemning the Yellows, despite of which Villarreal performed very well against the Whites. “I think the team’s work is outstanding. Especially in the first half hour, we have been able to corner the Real Madrid and we kept pushing at the beginning of the second half. The players are a little upset about not having taken any point, but I think the effort of the team has been good. We have stood up against a team that came thrashing in the previous three games. We always want to give joy to our people by winning against a big team at home, but it has been rather difficult lately. We will work hard again and see if we can do it next year.”

For Artana native, to miss scoring chances against rivals with a strong potential as Real Madrid or FC Barcelona is just a big burden. “Especially the first twenty or twenty-first minutes have been very good and with good chances to get ahead, but we know that if we fail, things can turned out as they did today. Against the big teams, both Madrid and Barca, if you miss your chances they end up taking advantage of the ones they have. We have tried to get around and come back, but when you get behind in these games is always more complicated. When you work so hard and you don’t have the score in your favor, it gets more difficult. “
