Villarreal CF have signed a historic collaboration agreement with prestigious centre for forming young Brazilian talent
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement to collaborate with the Pelé Academia, a historic partnership of great importance for the history of the Yellow Submarine that further strengthens the club’s commitment to the training of young talent by implementing its methodology in different parts of the world.
The prestigious academy of the legendary former Brazilian footballer becomes part of the Villarreal Academy programme, after the announcement of this strategic alliance in Rio de Janeiro, under the gaze of Christ the Redeemer wearing the colours of Villarreal CF.
The Academia Pelé project was announced on 2nd August 2016, being inaugurated by Pelé himself on 11th December 2018. The facilities, located in Resende, are in a strategic location, as it is close to three of Brazil’s main cities: Rio de Janeiro, Beolo Horizonte and São Paulo.
It should be noted that the Pelé Academy has 100,000 square metres divided between five football pitches, classrooms for the promising young players, as well as a residence.
