VILLARREAL CF

The Yellows initiate the second LFP World Challenge with games against Adelaide and Brisbane

Villarreal will travel to Australia to take part in two football matches within the LFP WORLD CHALLENGE. The Yellows will play their first game against Adelaide on the 29th of May at 7 pm (11.30 am Spanish Time). After travelling to Brisbane, FC Brisbane Roar will take on Villarreal on the third of June at 7 pm (11 am Spanish Time).

Adelaide United is one of the candidates to win the Australian league and tries to do so with four Spanish players in their squad (Sergio Cirio, Isaías Sánchez, Pablo Sánchez and Miguel Palanca), as well as Spanish head coach Josep Gombau. Brisbane Roar is one of two Australian representatives in the AFC Champions’ League. The Queenslanders are also the reigning champions of the A-League.

The LFP World Challenge program started last year when Villarreal brought a visit to China. Its purpose is to globally project the image of Spanish football and to spread the word on Spain and their companies, in the hope of creating business opportunities in cultural affairs and aligned events.
