Villarreal B and Burgos CF share the points in a game where both teams had chances

Villarreal B and Burgos CF each come away with a point. Both could have won the game, but neither team managed to convert the chances they had and in the end the game ended 0-0. The Mini Submarine remain unbeaten at home in LaLiga SmartBank.

The match at the Mini Estadi started with a lot of intensity and with both teams pressing high up the pitch and looking to take the upper hand. The first clear chance came for the Yellows through a counter attack led by Fer Niño in the centre, who put the ball across the box for Tiago Geralnik to try and find the target, but his effort was unsuccessful. Both sides continued to try to take the lead and it was again Villarreal B who came closest to the goal with Dani Tasende’s cross-cum-shot inside the box that the visiting keeper kept out with his right foot. Before the end of the first half, Burgos CF had their chance with a good shot from Curro from outside the area that went wide left of Gianni’s goal. It went into half-time at 0-0.

In the second half, Burgos CF took a step back in their pressing and let Villarreal B come out with the ball under control. Despite this, Miguel Álvarez’s side could not find a clear way through on goal. Both sides moved their benches in an attempt to find something different that would get them three points. Despite this, neither were able to score clearly and the game ended with a draw (0-0).

Villarreal B’s next match in LaLiga SmartBank will take place on Friday 7th October at 9pm CEST, at the Estadio Molinón-Enrique Castro Quini.
