24 of our Yellows teams were victorious this past weekend
Up to 24 of our club teams won their matches this past weekend. Those victories that stand out were the First Team’s win against Real Sporting de Gijón (3-1) which keeps the Submarine firmly in fifth place of the LaLiga Santander. For their part, the Villarreal B team picked up a win against Alcoyano away from home (0-0) and close in on the playoff spots, while the U19 A team beat UD Las Palmas yesterday (0-2) taking them into the Semi-finals of the Champions Cup (Copa de Campeones).
A special mention must be given to our U14 A team who by beating Escuelas San José (2-0) were crowned champions of the ‘Liga Autonómica’ with four games to go until the end of the season. Until now, three Yellows Academy teams have won their respective leagues: U19 A, U19 C and U14 A.
