The Castellón-born defender has extended her contract with Villarreal CF for a further season
Villarreal CF and Albeta have reached an agreement for the player to continue as part of the Yellows project until 2027.
Alba María ‘Albeta’ López Montiel (Almassora, Castellón, 14th August 2001) came through the Yellows Academy, progressing through all the youth ranks before making the step up to the first team. Albeta is currently in her second spell with the club, having returned this season. Due to a long-term injury, she has only been able to feature in four matches in the Primera Federación Femenina.
The left-sided defender stands out for her strong tactical intelligence and her ability to join the attack. She also possesses excellent quality in delivery, providing assists for her team-mates.
