The Villarreal B head coach highlights the difficulty of the clash against CE Europa (Sunday, 4:30pm)

Villarreal B head coach David Albelda spoke to V Play to analyse the build-up to the match against CE Europa, corresponding to Matchday 36 of Primera Federación, which will be played this Sunday at 4:30pm at Can Dragó.

The Valencian coach assured that the Mini Submarine are approaching the match in excellent form: “It will be a very difficult match, against an opponent who have spent the whole season in the upper part of the table, but the feelings are good. I would say that we are arriving at our best moment. We have been on a very good run of performances and results, especially in the second half of the season, and we are full of confidence. We will try to make sure the run continues.”

Albelda also analysed the strengths of the Catalan side: “They are a team who have come up from Segunda RFEF and what they are achieving has a lot of merit. It will be a difficult match. Europa have players of real quality in attacking areas and they are also very solid defensively. We will have to be very alert and control many aspects of the game if we want to get a good result.”

The Valencian coach also explained the type of match he expects: “Because of the dimensions of the pitch, especially its width, I think it will be a very even game. We will have to be very attentive to second balls, set-piece situations and defensive organisation. I expect a match of great difficulty, but we are confident about trying to impose our style and get a positive result. Honestly, the opponent commands a lot of respect from me because of the season they are having. We will need to be at a very high level if we are to take something positive from there.”

Finally, the Mini Submarine head coach highlighted the work done by the team throughout the season and the ambition with which they approach this decisive stage: “We are happy and satisfied with everything we have achieved so far, but there are still three matchdays left. We remain ambitious and, at this stage, we want to finish off the work of the entire season and secure a place in the play-offs.”
