The Spanish U17 team was eliminated from the World Cup in Brazil after losing to France in the quarter-finals (6-1). The national team took the lead, but ended up conceding to the “blue” side.
Aitor Gelardo, the Villarreal youngster, was brought onto the pitch in the 56th minute, replacing his team-mate Beñat Turrientes. After the defeat, the Yellows’ player went back to the U19s where he is under Miguel Angel Tena’s management.
