A total of 12 players have been recognised for reaching 10 years proudly defending the Yellow Submarine’s colours
Villarreal CF held its traditional ceremony this Wednesday to honour club players who have reached a decade wearing the yellow shirt. At this season’s event, held at the Estadio de la Cerámica, 12 players received the symbolic commemorative submarine from club president Fernando Roig.
The event was also attended by the club’s CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles and Sporting Director Miguel Ángel Tena.
The 12 players honoured for their 10 years at Villarreal CF were: Iker Adelantado (Villarreal C), Pau Polo (Juvenil A), Jordi Mata (Juvenil C), Jesús Caballero (Cadete A), and EDI players Fernando Pinedo, Paco Navarro, Ricardo Escribano, Eric Villegas, Javier Luján, José Manuel Vicent, Javier Ruiz and David Pliego.
A deeply rooted tradition
The recognition of Villarreal CF players who complete ten years at the club has been held continuously since the 2008/09 season. Since then, including this year’s recipients, a total of 500 players will have received the iconic ceramic submarine, a symbol of their long-standing commitment to the club.
Great talents honoured for 10 years as Yellows
Marcos Senna, Bruno Soriano, Javi Venta, Pau Torres, Manu Trigueros, Jaume Costa, Moi Gómez, Álex Baena, Gerard Moreno, Alfonso Pedraza and Pau Navarro are among the most talented players who have spent more than a decade defending the Yellow Submarine’s badge.
