Villarreal C thrashed Silla taking them to the top of the table
The Villarreal C team kept up their undefeated streak beating Silla (0-4) convincingly on their visit to the Vicent Morera stadium. Although there have only been three match days so far, the victory was enough to send Carlos Pérez Salvachúa’s side to the top of Group VI of the Third Division, a great start to the season for the Yellows’ second Reserve team.
The match got off to a bad start for the locals with the sending off of Javi Carrasco, who took down Chepe who would have been through on goal and one on one against the keeper. And so, the Villarreal C team started their rampage and got a goal shortly after courtesy of Chepe after a Darío assist. Although the Yellows dominated the match, Silla were well organized and kept out the Yellows until the 65th minute, when Morlanes put his team further in front from the penalty spot.
With a two goal lead, the Submarine’s Reserves finished off Silla with goals from Darío in the 67th minute and Nikola four minutes from time, making the final score 0-4.
