A guard of honour for champions. Granada CF showed their respect for Villarreal’s achievement in winning the UEFA Europa League trophy. Ahead of the LaLiga opener at the Estadio de la Cerámica, captain Manu Trigueros showed the trophy to the fans, who applauded the Yellows players fervently.
Capitalising on the occasion, in a great sporting gesture, Granada CF wanted to recognise the Yellows’ win by making a guard of honour for the reigning UEFA Europa League champions. Former Yellow and current Granada player Carlos Bacca joined his former team-mates during this recognition by the visiting team.
