Villarreal U14s once more took part with the AUPA abandoned dog parade at Bioparc
Villarreal U14s were involved once more with the 15th AUPA (Adopta Un Perro Abandonado – Adopt An Abandoned Dog) abandoned dog parade at Bioparc in Valencia. The Yellows Academy youngsters went to the event and a group of them were able to accompany a canine looking for a family to adopt them. There was no doubt that the parade, presented by journalist Carolina Ferre, was a success. Artist Elena Negueroles once more was a patron of the event, giving an emotive speech.
It is a magnificent tradition which takes place every Christmas, as part of the Endavant Igualtat initiative, where Yellows Academy youngsters collaborate with charity centres for personal development.
Villarreal’s Psychology and Methodology Departments support education and the personal development of the footballers with a clear objective: to help the members of the centres in their personal development, with a social sensitivity along with the needs and difficulties of the others, and to share their experiences with them. This exchange of values favours the growth of both parties.
In these days, building up to the Christmas period, it is especially necessary to underline the importance of what gifting an animal means and reflect about the necessity of being committed to looking after it and its health, not only in the first few days when everything is exciting, but throughout the life of the animal. However, this magnificent ‘present’ positively changes the life of people for good.
The youngsters had a special day that they will not forget. There is still a lot more to do though. For more information, visit www.adoptaunperroabandonado.es or call +34 638 376 586.
