Villarreal B have had an impressive month of March! The team, coached by Miguel Álvarez, has not lost a single game in March, making it the first unbeaten month of the season. The Mini Submarine managed to win at La Cerámica against Deportivo Alavés (1-0), earned a point at Can Misses against UD Ibiza (0-0), won again at home against FC Cartagena (5-2) and ended the third month of the year with a draw against SD Huesca (0-0) in a match in which they deserved much more.
Those results have put the team 11 points clear of relegation with nine games to go. Miguel Álvarez’s side have managed to put their best run of points so far this season on track; eight out of a possible 12 in the last four games, as well as keeping three clean sheets in the last four matches.
The Yellows are a solid and competitive team, who have improved their game a lot compared to the beginning of the season. These spectacular figures come at one of the most decisive moments of the season. Villarreal B are proving that they want to keep winning and fighting in the second tier of Spanish football.
