The Creixem charity has officially unveiled the expansion of its centre in Vinaròs in a ceremony led by the Villarreal president
This evening the Creixem charity has officially unveiled the expansion of its centre in Vinaròs in a ceremony which had guests such as Fernando Roig, Villarreal president; Adolf Sanmartín, territorial president of the Generalitat Valenciana; José Pascual Martí, Diputació de Castelló president; Vinaròs mayor Guillem Alsina, and Francisco Gil from the Gil Comes business group.
With initiatives such as Charity Area, Villarreal have actively raised funds to finance the renovation of the Creixem centre, which, after the works, has increased in size with three new rooms for children, a big gym, a meeting room for those who work at the centre and a changing room and shower area. The cost of the expansion of was 100,000 Euros, and as well as Villarreal CF, local tinned food business Gil Comes and LaLiga also participated.
At the moment, Creixem, a development for children up to the age of 16 with neurodevelopment disorders, or those who are at risk of developing them, works with 120 children in the north of the Castellón province. The expansion will help them reach 200 children.
Villarreal CF has a long-term collaboration relationship with Creixem. The centre is part of the Endavant Igualtat initiative, which means 11-a-side teams in the Yellows Academy are linked to special charity in the province to carry out activities and workshops together, which are enriching for both parties.
Last season Creixem and the U14s A (Infantil A) worked together. The academy players made objects that Creixem children could use to improve their mobility, as well as designing small stories to help the youngsters understand better daily life situations.
Finally, Creixem has founded the official Llagonstí Groc Vinaròs fan club. The only Villarreal fan club in the north of Castellón.
